    Sekolah Victory Plus is a medium sized, non-secular privately funded IB World School with IB and Cambridge Programmes in Kemang Pretama, Bekasi, Indonesia. This is a great school to gain international experience and IB qualifications from as well as experience the friendliness and beauty of Indonesia from. We have a diverse student and staff body that is mainly Indonesian in background. SVP has staff and students representing five of the official religions recognised by Indonesia. Our Alumni attend Universities around the world, including University California, Berkely, Royal Melbourne Institue of Technology, Monash University, University of Edinburgh, Universiteit Twente, Kaplan University, Singapore, Curtin University, Universitas Pelita Harapan and Universitas Indonesia,

    We have the following position vacant for next year. Secondary School English Teacher

    Job Description/Responsibilities:

    Required Qualifications/Skills:


    · All expatriate teachers must be native speakers of English (generally taken to mean that they are expatriates from Australia, New Zealand, US, Canada or England) or have a proven competency in English language.
    · A Bachelor Degree in English Education or English Literature, preferably a Master Degree
    · A recognized teaching qualification.
    · Minimum 5 years experience in the role in a formal SECONDARY school. (after the completion of your teaching qualification.)
    · By law, your age must be over 25 and under 60
    · Able to pass a basic medical examination. (including test for drug use and HIV status)

    *Please do not apply if you do not meet the above criteria, as they are essential to obtaining your legal documentation.

    The following experience is preferred;

    · Experience working overseas or in an international school
    · Knowledge of IB MYP or/and DP curricula

    Salary Range: $25,000-$35,000 p/a nett depending on experience and qualifications.

    Sekolah Victory Plus will pay for the costs of all required documentation related to employment and living in Indonesia (visa, work permit, etc.)

    It's always a pleasure to read such professional job notices. Just one question, out of idle curiosity: what does "non-secular" mean, as a practical matter? Does everyone have to declare their religious affiliation, or something?
